Celine Navarro RAWKS!!!

I promised I'd post them and here they are....

My projects done at Paris with Celine Navarro!! She is an amazing teacher ready to share all her secrets and she is an amazing person too, sooo down to earth and friendly and helpfull and I can't find the words to descrobe her, I was thrilled to have met her in person after drooling all over her projects over the net!

I had two days of classes where we did two mini albums, fantastic to store my mexico and miami trips of 2009!!!

This is the first class where we made a box that opens up to reveal the mini album and we did some cool techniques with inks and embossing to make those tags:

And here is my Miami book done the second day where we learned a super dooper trick with canvas and paints!!

New Challenge at The Studio

It is the 16th of the month again and a new challenge has been posted at The Studio!!

What you have to do?

1. It wouldn’t be right without a little bit of Christmas spirit (just a little bit!), so make a Christmas layout without using Christmas themed papers or embellishments
2. Use only 1 photo
3. You can not use alphabet stickers. (You may stamp, hand cut, etc.)

This is my version of the challenge:

 
I knew I wanted to scrap my first Christmas tree in my first house and this challenge was the best prompt for me! Even though I did use the traditional Christmas colors (red and green) I went for the stripes and dots, papers I love using all year round!! I hand cut my 2009 title and purposely left some marker lines to be shown and hand drew the mistletoes with white marker all around. The red bracket is actually from a Jenni Bowlin package of journaling tags and after using the tag in another project I hand cut a thin stripe of the remaining sticker to create it!

What was missing??

There is no Paris without the Eiffel tower!!!!!

I am in Paris and je suis tres contente!!! I have come here with my cousin Chris who is a fabulous photographer (see the photos below) for 2 classes with Celine Navarro which were amazing and the moment I will get back to Greece I will upload photos of the projects!!

The Studio 1st December challenge

Here’s the first December challenge from The Studio. Remember, you don’t have to use all 3 parts, but you get extra brownie points if you do!

1. Your layout should be based on the theme of childhood – it can be your own or someone elses.
2. Use a frame of some kind in the design of your layout
3. Use layers – can be paper, ribbon, whatever you like, but layer it up!

This is what I came up with:

My layout is based on a class I got from Ronda Palazzari at the spring Cocoa Daisy crop and it is all about layers!! Yes, this is me in the photo and I have no idea what I am doing standing like this!!!! 

I have glimmer misted on doilie papers, painted the green dots, stiched, faux stiched, layered, layered, layered!!

'What's your beauty regime?' Has it changed over the years, has it been influenced by anyone (mum, gran), do you have to have the latest products? Or are you a soap and water girl?

 

People who have met me in person know that I am not a big fan of make up or anything like that! I am more of go natural approach and wow them in a night out!! So, my beauty regime I wanted to share is just be yourself and have fun with it!!

 

I have used my Girls loft kit  for that!!

This is what I have made with it using a fun photo I got last year wearing a wig and I ended up having red hair this year!!

You can't believe what happened!! I was looking through my email and I got an email from Inspirational blog that they would like to feature some of my work!! I answered back on the spot and 10 minutes later I see my work published!! wow!!!! Dawn is sure fast!!

You really have to check this blog since it has gathered up some amaing work from various blogs and it is truly inspirational!!!
